18. Removed: Birthday/Flower Giving Scene

This idea was to also build their relationship and bond, as well as to show that they have been friends for a long time. Plus showing the audience what V's favorite flower is.

V's birthday where LI gives her a bouquet of flowers with her saying:

"These are my favorite flowers! How did you know?"

LI would respond with "No idea, they were pretty." or "It was a lucky guess."

Her response would foreshadow her having the Hanahaki Disease.

When making the Storyboard, I actually debated on having that be a flashback. The issue was mainly trying to get fake flowers of hibiscuses and having to add an entirely new scene location to the movie, which has 5 different locations already. It felt like too much and would be better off not doing that at all.

This image would be the flashback for LI giving V flowers on, probably, her birthday. LI is holding a bouquet of hibiscuses. To show it's a flashback, I would have put a slight color overlay of grey over the section.
