One idea for the postcard is to add slight drops of blood coming off of some letters. This idea would be relatively plain and drawn for the most part with flowers scattered around. The colors would be very dark, red (text) and green (background) to show the dark feel of the movie, which would be ironic considering how bright the film itself would be.
Another is to have something similar, except extremely bright to match the brightness of the film, as well as disguising the dark themes in the story. People should see it and think it’s going to be a cute, happy love story and completely deny those expectations.
Currently, I’m debating on if I should have it be very simple and drawn or use shapes instead. There’s also the idea of using the actors in the card too and have real life photos. I may lean towards the simplistic shapes idea.
